Moments ago, the Board of Trustees of Sunrise Children’s Services voted not to change their hiring policies. For more from Sunrise, read this press release:
I rejoice in the courage and conviction exhibited by the board’s decision. While I know, given where our culture is headed, government funding for Sunrise may someday be in jeopardy, I recommit my personal and financial support, as well as my advocacy for this Great Commandment ministry of Kentucky Baptists. We will stand with this board.
Thanks be to God for this decision! Thought any other decision would have been a real tragedy for the facility and for the children.
May God bless you, Paul, for having spoken the truth with love.
Great to hear! We prayed for you and Dan Summerlin and for the Sunrise leadership Wednesday night in our prayer meeting as we prayed for our “Samaria”. I know that decision will have some big ramifications, but I believe God will honor the faith with his faithfulness.
Praise God!! He will provide!!!!
Praise God that you have chosed to take a Christian stand in this matter. God provides for His people when we stand for Him. You will never be dissapointed.
Again Praise God
